Who Are We?

BalticFlyFisher (BFF) is a small family run company founded in 2005 and based in Northern Germany. We are totally enthusiastic about all types of Fly Fishing,  saltwater or freshwater with single handed or double handed  rods, chasing  salmon and trout, bass or pike, grayling, asp, tarpon, cod, bones   …

… you could say Fly Fishing is our life!

Your BFF Team

Melanie

is responsible for the day to day running of the office, and takes over when Annelie and Stuart are away. If you ring us up you will probably talk to her on the phone.

Silja and Lasse

spend their time travelling around Europe from casting event to casting event, running their Casting School, giving lessons and going fishing. On top of that they also answer technical questions on tackle, casting and of course fly fishing in general.

Annelie and Stuart

are in the office every day… that is when they are not on the road. Annelie looks after the finances whilst Stuart answers emails and talks to clients, if not on the water playing with (sorry testing) rods and doing some strange thing called a Perry-Poke.

Hannah 

is responsible for testing the kids-rods, reels and lines. She regularly supplies Tim Rajeff with feedback and recommendations for product changes. Here she can be seen on a field-test session discussing the condition factor of a trout she caught, with Silja.

Liam

leap frogged over the “kids-stuff” and  went straight into a career as “real” rod tester. He has developed his own very special series of quality tests; here you can see him putting an ECHO EDGE thro’ its paces by casting a single-handed spey off the wrong-shoulder.

Robyn

the newest edition to the team, she is still a little bit shy and prefers to stay incognito – here she is being shown how to Spey cast by Lasse.
