Echo2 Saltwater Rods
Each ECHO2 saltwater rod is designed to give its owner a lifetime of fishing success. Built with a blend of intermediate modulus carbon fibers the ECHO 2 rod blanks have exceptional strength to weight ratios. Tim Rajeff has spent the past 12 months working on the blanks to insure that they hold up to the environment they were designed to be used in. All the ECHO 2 rod models were designed with medium fast to fast actions depending on the model.
To take rod design to the next level Tim Rajeff has designed each ECHO 2 rod with two rod tips. The tip marked with the letter "A" indicates that it is the softer tip or the "Accuracy tip". Softer tips allow the rod to load with less line out the rod for times when you are starting with the fly in your hand when flats fishing. The "accuracy" tip also helps people who have smoother casting strokes because they can "feel the rod load" sooner in the casting stroke and help them take full advantage of the rods overall power.
The second tip is marked with the letter "D" which indicates that it is the "Distance" tip. The distance tip is the stiffer of the two tips helping lift sinking lines to the surface, makes throwing longer lines easier, and is the preferred tip for people with a more aggressive casting stroke.
In addition to the obvious performance benefits of having two tips with two stiffness levels every angler will gain comfort in knowing that if their first tip meets with a car door, or a Clouser traveling at mach 2, they can always pull out the second tip and keep right on fishing. We are certain that having two tips will save many a fishing trip.
Note: The two tips that come with every ECHO2 rod are not so different that an angler would be screwed if they had to use one tip or the other if needed. Two tips really are better than one.
The Facts:
* ECHO2 Saltwater Rods are made with a deep blue gloss paint to protect the blank making them look as good as they perform. Thread wraps match the blank color and have a single silver trim wrap.
* The rod model is printed on the rod sock and the top of the rod case for easy identification.
* Rods come with a full wells grip using high grade cork to meet the demands of the saltwater environment. 1 1/8" fighting but comes on #6 - #9 rods. 2" fighting butt on the #10 and #12 rods.
* A new interlocking hood mortised reel seat is used to prevent the sliding hood from jamming when installing and removing the reel. No more frustrations trying

The ECHO2 9’0” # 6 was designed for days when the wind is light and the fish are spooky. The rod has enough power to punch casts into a breeze but is still light enough for stealthy presentations. It has a fast action when the “A” tip is used and has a medium fast action when the “D” tip is used. The rod is designed to throw small to large flies.

The ECHO2 9’0” # 7 was designed for medium to large rivers or marine environments where a lighter rod is best. The rod is a perfect 7 weight. It has enough backbone for longer casts but is not so stiff that you have to work hard to load the rod. It has a fast action when the “A” tip is used and has a medium fast action when the “D” tip is used. The rod is designed to throw medium to large flies.

The ECHO2 9’0” # 8 was designed to perform under the widest range of fishing conditions. As a tough fresh water rod it handles heavy flies and lines for salmon, as well as long lines and sink tips for steelhead. In the salt it handles long casts into the wind without giving up. At home in the cold or the tropics it is the most popular of the “power” rods. It has a fast action when the “A” tip is used and has a medium fast action when the “D” tip is used. The rod is designed to throw medium to large flies.
Great rod for Bonefish - particularily with the A tip. Loads up fast, perfect for those close in casts for cruising bones.

The ECHO2 9’0” # 9 was designed to allow the fisherman to cast intermediate sinking lines and fast sinking heads all day without tiring. It was also designed to deliver heavy crab patterns to tough flats fish. It has a stout butt section that blends perfectly to a fairly light tip. It has a fast + action when the “A” tip is used and has a medium fast + action when the “D” tip is used. The rod is designed to throw medium to very large flies.

The ECHO2 9’0” # 10 was designed to be the work house of the salt water rods with enough butt power to lift fish that fight hard and deep. The rod has a friendly action that is at home roll casting heavy heads to the surface or chucking them a mile. It is also a good rod for situations that require a person to start short and get to the target in a hurry. It has a fast action when the “A” tip is used and has a medium fast action when the “D” tip is used. The rod is designed to throw large to crazy large flies.

The ECHO2 9’0” # 12 was designed as a casting rod that can still crank tuna and billfish to the boat in a hurry. The extra heavy butt section helps drive half a chicken sized flies into the stiffest winds. Equipped with a removable fighting grip, it meets the needs of the Tarpon fisherman as well as the offshore fanatics. It has a fast action when the “A” tip is used and has a medium fast action when the “D” tip is used. The rod is designed to throw flies from large to prarie dog size.
