FW Series
The FW series, Featherweight, is a smooth reel intended primarily for lighter, one-handed fishing. The unique drag’s diameter is adapted and calibrated for light fly fishing with thin tippets and offers super-smooth and even braking.
FW is a reel that we know many one-handed fishermen have been waiting for. The fact that it is aesthetically attractive doesn’t hurt matters either.
The Danielsson FW is characterised by:
* Water and heat resistant bearings and drag in Hi End material.
* Functions equally well wet or dry, hot or cold, or with a light or heavy load.
* Pressure-chamber tested. Waterproof to a depth of 100m (330 feet).
* Form and friction-stable brake discs withstand heat up to 2000°C (3600 °F).
* Corrosion-protected reel made of high-tensile aluminium.
* Components made of acid-proof steel.
* Large drag knob makes it easy to adjust braking force.
* Adjustable drag with min. and max. positions within 330°.
* Spool changes with easy movements.
* Quick line retrieval.
Available as LH or RH wind.
