ECHO Classic Ultimate Distance
The Echo #5 Classic Ultimate Distance rod was a designed by Tim Rajeff to prove that the skeptics who belived that a rods power and action are solely functions of material and claimed he couldn't make a low-cost distance casting rod. Tim proved them wrong and here it is.
ECHO 9' 0" (270cm) #5 Ultimate Distance
ECHO 9’0” #5DC is ECHO’s first Distance Competition rod. It can handle the power needed to airealize a lot of line. The result is a rod that extends the distance of most people who try it. The rod has a downlocking anodized aluminum reel seat to "lengthen" the rod, and oversize stripper guides to reduce friction. It can also be used with a #6 line to fish for big trout or in light saltwater situations. It has a medium fast action.

ECHO2 Competition
The Echo #5 Ultimate Distance rod was so successful that Tim Rajeff and his guys had to do double-time to keep them in stock. Not bad for a niche item! We've received mail from around the world about the massive increase in casting performance from fishermen and competition casters alike. Given the success of the Echo Classic Ultimate Distance, Tim was excited to design the Ultimate Distance #5 Echo2 rod and introduce a significant increase in performance and functionality.
The Echo2 Ultimate Distance rod is not for the faint of heart. It’s designed for aggressive casters with fast hand speed. It is more powerful than its predecessor; this allows the rod to generate ultimate line speed and distance. The rod also features super low-friction SIC stripping guides, as well as the Echo2 “Two Tip System”. Because of the incredible amount of power generated by the rod, it’s important to match the correct tip to your casting style. While the rod wasn’t designed for fishing, if you want to do so we suggest using a #6 or #7 line with the rod.

The ECHO2 9’0” #5DC was designed for advanced distance casting and competition. The rod has three low-friction SIC stripping guides to reduce friction during extreme overhauling. It also has a downlocking anodized aluminum reel seat to "lengthen" the rod for casting.

These rods were designed to create the tightest loops and the highest line speed of any rod Tim rajeff has ever made. You can tell these rods have an attitude the minute you hold the tournament handle shape and check out a blank with no finish. These rods reek of distance. Developed initially to satisfy the small group of fishermen in Japan that are possessed enough to compete in distance casting competitions using "fishing equipment" the ED series will make your fishing casts longer and easier than ever before. The group of Japanese distance casters asked for a fast action rod that is light in the hand to help them achieve higher line speed. The result of Tim Rajeff's quest for a new distance / fishing rod has made many a fishermen grin as they watch their line go farther than ever before. The ECHO ED series consists of a 10' #6 and a 10' #8 rod for now with more models planned for the future.
