The ECHO SOLO 9'0" (274cm) #5 is an entry 3 piece fly rod; built on a forgiving blank with an easy a medium to fast action it is ideal for beginners. The SOLO 9'0" (274cm) #5 is ideal for medium sized trout streams and lakes and you can cast medium to largish flies with it.

ECHO SOLO 9'0" (274cm) #6
The ECHO SOLO 9'0" (274cm) #6 is the same as its two cousins designed primarily as an entry level rod. The SOLO #6 weight has a bit more power than the #5 weight and is ideal for medium to large rivers or locations that require extra power and distance. The rod is great for throwing large dry flies, chucking wolly buggers, or for fishing sinking lines in rivers and lakes and its slightly faster action means that it can also be used as a lightweight entry rod for the salt (but please remember to give it a shower down afterwards)
